Backstory; My dad has been in the hobby for years and I always love the fish tanks at his place. Now that I have my own place and a full time job turning into a career I’ve needed a hobby. After 8 months of research and thinking of what I wanted my tank to be in, I pulled the trigger when I saw this 40 gal. Nuvo on Facebook Marketplace. I knew it needed to be cleaned up but a little vinegar and water helped with that. I wanted a budget build in a way so I’ve built the stand with the help of my dads engineering.

I’ve also made my own Caddy’s for media out of egg crate, very easy to do in this tank. Love it so far. Couldn’t do a 125W Jager due to length of the heater. <- Wish someone posted this about theirs sooner than I had ordered mine. If you have any question about my tank feel free to ask, dm’s are always open too if you don’t want to post a reply. Thanks for checking it out, and happy reefing reefers!

added some stuff, and traded some stuff out. Wanted to maybe go in a new direction. Removed the hammer, toadstool, and my clowns. toadstool got too big, the hammer was cool but wanted to try a nem. my clownfish also got really really aggressive for some reason to their tank mates and both me and my girlfriend when putting our hands in the tanks. picked up this 2 year old pair and I’m in love. also added a sailfin blenny to the tank with a nem that got thrown in on trade. and I picked up these 2 ricordea. one got thrown in for free, but the rainbow on the right I personally picked out. last thing added was a bicolor goniopora.
