My sister asked me to make her a small table for her 1/2 bath so that she could have some storage for "essentials" in a room otherwise without. She was at a craft show and saw something made of lacewood and liked it a lot.

Finished size is 10x10x31. All old school construction - hand cut mortise & tenon joinery, a total of 2 screws to hold the top on. The main body is solid lacewood, the panels lacewood veneer over baltic birch ply. I chose pine trees for the inlay bacause they live in Vermont, where, if you've never been, there are pines everywhere!

Hand finished with satin polyurethane.

She wants to pay me for it, I want to give it to her for all than she has done for me over the years, and she has done a lot. Materials were ~$325, and I have probably 25 hours in the build.

Now, she wants bookcases for either side of the fireplace. Those will probably be walnut to go with the rest of the house, but we'll see! (and those, she will be paying for!)

Holy cow! That’s beautiful! I wish you lived closer.... I’d pay you to make something for me.

I'd be afraid to ship it in anything smaller than a refrigerator box filled with Styrofoam peanuts!

TYVM. Every project gets just a little bit better, and the amount of waste wood decreases. I must be doing something right?

Depending on what it was, I might come get it. I’m gonna be putting up a 180 in the next few years. Maybe I’ll let you do the stand. If not that, maybe a cabinet for my apex and other stuff.

Here's a few pictures of the stand I built for my 120. Solid cherry. The top is DIY laminate as well.

I recently completed a matching canopy for it as well.

I've done things as small as a ring box and as large as kitchen cabinets.

Let me know and we just might be able to work something out.
