I've got two leathers and they both are disintegrating. I'm trying to figure out right now what the cause is but I suspect it's a lasting effect from Irma, possibly an infection. My question is should I try and salvage what good flesh is left or leave it whole and hope it can recover if I figure out what's wrong?

This is the base, the flesh is separating.

I would cut the base off, dip, lightly scrub off decaying tissue and stick back in the rock work in spot were flow will not blow it away.

I have some revive, do you think that will be a sufficient enough dip? What about the rest of it though? It's got a huge crevasse all the way through the middle. Should I try and cut away the dying tissue or let it be?
