I have had a mated pair of Picasso clowns for the last 7 years that have been with me through multiple tank and house moves. This was a mated paid and would lay eggs very consistently. I tried breading them but could not dedicate the time and care needed. Even so, my kids and I would love watching the female lay the eggs and the male watch over carefully for the term. As something bad always happens when you go away, I came back to find that my male clown has disappeared from my tank (I'm assuming it became fish food). My female seams so still be doing great and continues to host one of my BTA. At this point, is it worth trying to introduce another male clown?? what's the average life expectancy of a clown? any advice is always appreciated.
Thanks,
