Quick run down of Poletti JB that morphed green on me:)
From bottom pic to top...
Thought I lost her when I removed her from rock she was perched on got a little too crazy with tile cutters and snapped and flinged her across room and smashed into wall. Lost her baby its probably stuck to the wall. Been a month or 2 but shes finally starting to act normal again:)

Going a little bit further now I do have a few different versions of electus amd JB now. There are many similarities but distinct differences across the "morphs" of the species.

Alright proper update time:)
THE SAGA CONTINUES:
As well as a full on disclosure of sorts.
I bombed my system with chemiclean. Yup I cheated. But before anyone gets all judgemental I can explain why so you get a better picture as well as know this wasn't a bandaid fix. Underlying issues have been met with full force and fixed and ill get into that in a bit.
Anyhow somewhere in between setting up algae turf skimmer and spotless shop vac cleaning of my barebottom sumps in my bare bottom system thats only a year old now...
My sumps exploded with cyano bacteria. I'm not talking a little bit. I'm talking a thick mat of cyano covering every surface of rock that was clinking off floating in the sumps. Totally nasty wish I would have gotten a picture but almost had a heart attack because It kind of happened almost overnight. And drastic times called for drastic measures.
Now let's get into some real full disclosure so you understand the mistakes I made that has led up to the current events.
First. During initial build I bought a second hand RO system. No DI. Because it "looked brand new" i decided to just run with the used filters.
Yup I promise I did that for about 4 months until I decided to get crazy and start checking parameters and found out water I was using had an alk of 14-15, tds as high as 4-500ppm.
This was all the same time I realized hey my api nitrate test kit must be broken because no matter how much I dumped in i couldnt get nitrates to register. Long story shortened it took 100% water change just to get it to register super high on red sea kit.
To this day I cant get Nitrates to read lower than 10ppm no matter what I do but can tell you I have stabilized between 10-20ppm and im ok with that.

Back to source water lol. After my initial failure with used RO system. I got an RODI with no tds meter. Hahaha yup I did it again!
Let that guy run heavy with dead resin in it for who knows how long so again I was pumping water in my system that was probably worse than my tap water!
About 2 month ago I decided to just hey why don't I get a tds meter because I can't seem to clean these nasties and keep it clean no matter how many times I clean things up so something has to be wrong lol I knew all along though.
Source water issue solved. Replaced my RO filters with legit filters to handle my city water properly. Snagged a brs 3 stage DI system with tripple DI meter that came with it and proper resin.
0 tds is the only way im running from here on out or not running at all.

So to not run on any further with this back to chemiclean. I'm gonna do it again if I have to. Keep params table.
Keep due diligence cleaning and heavy preventative maintenance and hope for the best. Took me a solid year to totally fail at it so not expecting overnight fix.
I can tell you system is 1000% better and my shrooms are loving me for it.

Peep the prognosis:D Next time to see FTS pix your not gonna be seeing any dirty nasty plugs or discs or anything thats not pleasant to look at I can assure you.
In case your wondering... whatever that dirty nasty doo doo brown stuff on my discs actually is? Idk but I can tell you I can't soak one in 12% h202 and scrubber with toothbrush to get it off!
Glad I was able to get all that off me chest:)
