I run 2 250 watt MH's with a Nova Extreme 4 build t5. I've been running an informal test on MH bulbs, on the left side I have a 14k ushio and on the right side I am running a 14k Phoenix. I installed both bulbs about six months ago and so far IMO, the Phoenix is the all around better bulb, for growth and color. I plan on swapping the t5 fixture with LED's for actinic's, when I can afford it.

Wow! the coloring of you corals is fantastic. Do you know the par readings in your tank with all that light (I know it's not all about par but I am curious)? I few a few sps but they the coloring is just not there.

Thank you, I switched over to T5 on 01/30/13 and so far the colors have been improving. I did check PAR but it was on old bulbs, near the top of my rock structures PAR was around 275/250 and 100/150 in the sand bed.
