Not very good pics but I wanted to share my new creation I made from an old MRC skimmer. I hate throwing things away when they seem to be useful for something. The cup was Broken but the rest of it was solid.
I in stalled a tunze osmolator and was thinking the tunze reactor was small. I wanted something bigger that would last Kalk more than a week. I had an old float valve that I used to drip alk but it was starting to fail. This seemed like the way to go.
I basically capped all the holes with plugs. The inlet side I drilled and tapped to fit John guest fitting for 1/4" hose. On that inside fitting I have the hose extended all the way down to the bottom of the tank. That's my water in.
Then I filled and tapped the top cover for another jg fitting. That's the water outlet.
The unit is easy to fill with lime, just unscrew the top and fill.
I think I can also mount a stirrer in that top, we will see someday.
