Aphasia. Found a tiny little one on one of my rocks, my only piece of live. Took it out of the tank and the piece is currently in a freshwater bath where it will stay for a bit, I don't know if I even want to put it back in the tank ever.
Anyways, acan has opened a bit. Here's a pic:

Alright, so I am going to be getting a skimmer for christmas. Should I do the tunze comline 9001 or the ghost desktop skimmer?
I'm a big fan of TUNZE. I run one of their larger skimmers on my 50g.

I'm starting to get some algae in the sand. Is it cyano or just diatoms? If it's cyano I need to start acting, it's the reason I tore down my last tank pretty much.

It looks like cyano to me but it may just be paranoia

its diatoms. how long has your tank been up for?

also consider putting a refugium in one of the back chambers. that is what i did with my Nuvo 20G. the chaeto algea help keep nutrients under control .

i cut out the vinyl backing in the shape of my hang on magnetic LED light for the refuge and put in some small Live rock and chateo alegea, i also hadded a bag of live pods so they can grow and multiply back there. this also provides live food for my 6 line wrassee.

I also use Chemi pure blue, helps keep the water crystal clear.

Will be getting more corals later today, will update when I do. May even get a skimmer since I didn't end up getting one for Christmas.

Get the Tunze not the Desk Top, I have had both. Tunze is a much better product. :-)

I like the desktop because it fits in the dedicated skimmer compartment. The tunze would have to go in the main compartment and it would not fit with the current pump probably. I also don't have an ATO so the skimmer would get tons of different water levels.

New corals! All euphyilla, after this I'm done with buying euphyilla right now. I just really like them.

Color Splotch Hammer $15, hasn't really opened up yet but very pretty

Very pretty fluorescent blue hammer, doesn't really pick up on camera, 2 heads $25

Nice fluorescent yellow/orange hammer, 2 heads, one isn't opened yet $25

Nothing is fully open yet but super pretty still. Shrimp is acting a little strange from the coral dip, he always does. He will recover in a couple days[emoji14]

One more thing, I almost forgot! I got a green brittle star that I love. Very big too. I don't remember the name, I don't think it was brittle star but whatever. I don't have a picture of him because he is hiding behind all the rocks but you can see his spiny tentacles here:

Full tank shot.

Obviously not done with aqua scaping yet since I haven't glued anything down, but the hammers will all go together and make a garden while the torch will stay where it is, maybe attach it to a rock. The smaller green and pink torch will be moved and maybe the flat rock that it is next to will be put under the big torch and I will make a scoly and acan garden where it was.
Just thinking out loud.

About 3-6 Heads on the torch are dead. Probably why I got it so cheap. It's alright though, still a lot of heads, ill count how many.
