Picked up this IM 40 on Facebook Marketplace a few months ago. Used to have a 55 gallon tank and a 20 long a while back and I was really itching to pick up a new hobby. Long story short, I over paid for the tank when I bought it because a good bit of the equipment had to be replaced but, that’s neither here nor there. I am so excited to be back in the game!
Equipment List:
IM Nuvo Fusion 40
APS Reinforced Stand
(if you need to buy a stand, buy it directly from Innovative Marine, they have free shipping)
InTank Media Basket (Floss, Matrix and Chemipure)

Sicce Syncra Silent 2.0 Return
(2) Tunze 6015 power heads
Kessil a360we Tuna Blue
150 watt Eheim Jager Heater
100 watt Eheim Jager Heater

Welcome back!! I have the same AIO tank. I am running a kessil A160 WE. But planning to upgrade and contemplating between A360x or radion XR15 G5. Any suggestions?

Manually dosing at the moment. Planning to add a neptune DOS for Ca and Alk. Tanks not to old, so still adding livestock. Once i see some more growth, I will add SPS.

The tank is small enough that if you do regular water changes, you won’t need to dose it. Unless you are looking into getting some sps. Then, you’ll probably want to think about a t5 hybrid in addition to a 360x

Or you could go with 2 360x or an xr30. The single kessil 360 will be fine for softies but the will be shadowing. What equipment are you running?

I'm thinking about that same tank! How happy are you so far with the tank being that it's an aio? Is the skimmer pretty effective? Any dislikes with the rear section size as far as getting proper filtration equipment to fit? Thanks!

The tank is a good one. I haven’t had any issues with it at all. Plenty of room in the back. I did just upgrade to 2 MP10wqd’s. There is nothing left I feel like I need except a T5 hybrid or a second 360we. It has all the bells and whistles pretty much. You’ll enjoy it

How are you liking the MP10's in that tank? I'm running two Jebao OW-10's and while they do a decent enough job I feel there are still some deadspots. I was thinking about upgrading one of them to an MP10 or maybe a gyre. I'm also looking at going the T5/LED hybrid route. Would love to get the AquaticLife 24" unit.

The Mp10’s while they’re expensive, are definitely worth it. I run them anti sync on 40% reef crest. I too want to get the 24 in Aquatic t5 setup
