So I finally got a RO/DI unit, that means no more tap water,algae blooms and diatoms. I got a 6 stage deluxe unit from BULK REEF SUPPLY and it is a beast. 6 years is to long.

Already see a difference in polyp expansion. I also switched to reef crystals and I have not had to clean the glass in three weeks of algae. Love it. Now a few more weeks of quarantine and I can put my fish back in. I can't wait.

Awesome man, looks like a great unit. I recently added a booster pump on my setup and am amazed at the difference in production.
Make sure to keep up with your filters and change them out frequently. I change mine out more often than I need to, but a 5 stage replacement for $30 is going to save me money in filter media and frustration down the road. I always keep a complete set on hand, and once I use it, I order the next set to have it ready.

Even with the reef crystals and RO/DI my ph is at 8.0 so it looks like I may need to use a buffer.
