I got a pair of clown fish yesterday... Fed them about an hour after putting in my tank...they ate fine and seemed like all was good... Later on they started fighting so it got me worried and did some research... They say that's normal as they are trying to establish their sex... Anyways today I'm looking at my fish all happy and swimming all over the tank...... When one gets sucked by one of my returns!!!! I was able to get into my sump and pull him out alive... But he has a line going across looks like its blood from the pressure... He seems fine swimming around so hopefully he lives through this... Keeping my fingers crossed! I added a big dose of nov Aqua to help w their slime coat and stress.

Mine have done that on occasion. I have not lost one yet from it, luckily. I ended up capping the top with a glass sheet because my wrasses are worse. Good Luck

Get some plastic gutter guard, works perfect to cover the overflow inlets. Been there and done that, lol. It sucks losing fish like that. Hopefully it pulls through for ya!

Thanks for the good wishes! I put my net for now... I'm going to see if I can find some sort of bigger netting and glue it to the outlets. But I'm def gonna look into the gutter guard to see what will look better... Is kinda funny cuz it took him a while to make it through... I was all worried so when he finally made it to the filter in my sump I just grabbed him and THREw him bk into my display... Then I thought... **** I should have kept him In my sump for observation... Lol.

I've had a couple of my fish take that ride, (before the gutter guard) usually if there alive in your sump or filter sock then they should be ok. Good luck and keep us posted.
