My possible first pest! Can it be true?

Ime they are tough and aggressive. It's like they can strip a coral overnight. After the second dip I noticed little black dots on my orange digi. I took a sewing needle and magnifying glass to take a closer look. I know it may sound crazy but I dug 2 bugs actually out of the digi skeleton. And yes they were still alive so they survived the first 2 dips. Also had someone send me a video and looks like they may lay eggs but I have yet to see any eggs.

been hearing more and more about these black bugs. Theres a thread somewhere around here with a way to kill them but I guess they are bad.

Took a frag out and blew about 15 bugs off of it in the cup. Tried some salifert flatworm exit on them. In 2 minutes they curled up into a ball. After 30 minutes they started crawling or moving again. So....... interceptor didn't kill them nor did the flatworm exit. Oh also tried coral rx and they laughed at it. My friend tried prazipro and they were still alive after it also. Twilliard update us on your dip of bayer when you do it sir.

I dipped the birdsnest in fenbendazole and this morning no more munching!

Can't spot any as the Orphek light makes them stand out like a sore thumb.
Can't see what came off in the fenbendazole as its too cloudy.
Was hoping to catch what ever it was for the scope :(

I originally posted the video on FB. I do not know how to post a video here, but would be glad to email it to you. Send me a PM if you would like it. I have tried several other alternatives without success. Iodine and Bayer seem to be the two so far that have worked. However, these are very sneaky. If you have them on one frag, you likely have more in tank. Keep a close eye out. They work quickly. Message me if you would like the video.

Hey Twilliard, I run my bayer dip through a tea strainer/steeper device from the kitchen store. It has very fine mesh and can catch a lot of pest. Otherwise put it thru a coffee filter in a funnel and you will have your bugs to look at.
