So I've purchased a lot of coral recently. I have purchased my first Acropora corals, green slimer. Someone on a local forum was selling them really cheap and I couldn't pass it up. They're currently in my coral QT and will be added to the display in a couple of weeks. As of now, the SPS corals seem to be doing okay and they have good polyp extension. I am not too sure if its too soon to add the corals to the tank but I guess we will find out. The zoas will most likely go on the bottom right of the rockscape to create a zoa garden while the montis and acros will go towards the top of the tank on the arches.

6 months into my first reef tank which was a 75 gallon I decided to upgrade and do everything better (not right though, I'm kinda cheap). I purchased a Prostar 200 because it seemed like the best bang for my buck. This thread will follow my progression for the next couple of years as I have no intention of upgrading again.

Call Pro Clear, they'll send out a new door ASAP. If you want we can shoot pictures of this over to our rep. PM us if so, happy to get this resolved.

For now focus on cleanup so everyone stays safe.
I went ahead and emailed them earlier today. I’ll give them a couple days to respond. Thank you for the offer though. I will let you guys know if I need some help.

No problem, we talk with them daily and they are quite backed up right now. Calling them will probably be a better option

Coral
- A couple of months back I had some brown jelly wipe out all my euphyllia which resulted in me deciding to change my scape entirely. After rescaping the tank I shifted my focus from a euphyllia focused tank to an sps-dominant mixed reef. I currently have around a dozen SPS frags in my coral QT. They will be placed in the tank by the end of the month.

Aquascape
I redid my aquascape to allow for better flow. The previous one had too much detritus settling on the edges. I used the BRS NSA method.

Lighting
I upgraded from the Photon 50 to 4 XR15 G5 Pros. I needed more spread hence the upgrade. I tried the blues first but they were far too blue so I settled for the pros. They have a much more customizable spectrum. Unfortunately, the fans for the lights are significantly louder than the photon. They do however provide more light and spread.

Flow
I am currently using 3 MP40's on reef crest during the day and lagoon at night. They run up to 65% and are controlled by a WXM module.

Controller
I have added an Apex EL in order to monitor the pH and provide peace of mind when I'm away from the tank. I settled for the EL because I didn't see a need for ORP or Salinity. I currently only have the WXMbut will add the FMM for leak detection and possibly a DOS.

Sump
The original sump from Pro-Clear was not efficient in its use of space. I switched to a Bashsea Smart Series and am happy with the quality. I also upgraded to a Reef Octopus 200SSS and a Jebao DCP 10000. Both are extremely silent. I am currently running an amazon grow light for the refugium. The refugium runs overnight. The sump section is lit by several LED strips from amazon as well. I have also began running a UV.

How do you like the prostar? I have not heard of any leaking with those tanks or significant QC issues. Looking at swapping to prostar after my red sea 250 seam failed.

I would’ve gone with a waterbox if I was to do it again. I had a lot of issues with the stand and the overflow plumbing. To this day the drains aren’t silent. Maybe this issue has been remedied since this was one of the first tanks they built.

I thought the stand was one of the shining features, having aluminum supporting the weight.
