Tank Update!
Plumbing:
I was debating if I wanted to go with metric or imperial sized plumbing. After some research and outweighing the cost, I decided to go with metric. The brand I decided on was Flowcolour for all my valves, bulkheads, & unions / and Sanking for all the joints.
Primary and Secondary drain lines are sized at 32mm.
Emergency drain is sized at 40mm.
Dual return lines are sized at 32mm. (I read on here about a reefer who decided to upgrade is return lines from 3/4" to 1" and noticed a small gain in his Alk. So I figured lets test that out).
All the parts laid out, plus some extra joints.
Added a 90 elbow to help with surface agitation in the Fuge.
Adding in the Ball Valves and unions.
A few images on the rear side completed.
Some interior shots.
Got a little too close on the Union clearence.
Overall I am pretty happy with how it came out. It was my first time plumbing a tank and took me 10 hours to complete. I was fine taking my time since I ordered all the parts from China and didn't want to screw it up.
It feels good to get this project moving again and next on the list is water tests.
