Soooo excited for the Nero 5 Wednesday. Hope I lose at least 2 pumps in the display. Ooo on another note I trimmed out algae from the reactor because no3 was at 0ppm again even with dosing. So I have been feeding brine and mysis twice a day, reef roids 6 days a week, and AF supplements every other day and that still didn't increase no3 which is awesome because that means the tank can handle all that food. But saw that the no3 dosing line fell out of the tank! Put that back in 2 days ago and still only got up to .5ppm. Let me tell you how saturated the sps colors got in two days though.
Nero only came today. Still a [emoji119]! I have one less pump in the DT now. This nero is awesome. Not much play in pivoting its direction but the programmable bells and whistles are nice. I still really like my jebao wave makers though.
The frame for the screen was easy. I didnt even need measure. That thing is snug. The putting the screen in was not so easy plus I slipped with the wheel and messed up my first attempt. Probably why they give so much. But I am satified and I have extras. And I was able to do some cord management and hide most of the cables with the clips I'm using so you cant really see them anymore!
So the skimmer went crazy for the one hour I left the house. It had overflow and proved to me that the piece of glass I cut was not implemented correctly to prevent overflows out of the sump. So I will use the remaining black eggcrate I have to remedy that. Dispite stating otherwise I bought a gudgeon dartfish and a purple pseudochromis. They were hiding yesterday and the pseudo went into the hole that two fish before had gone into to die. fingers crossed...
Did some wire cleanup and put in the eggcrate on top to hold the overflow of the skimmer vs the piece of glass that was there. That light has to have 60 degree lenses. Going to order some 120s for it.
