Received my NY Knicks torch, shipped with expert care and thoughtfulness, took all of 10 minutes for it to extend all the way! Man I am blown away at the colors on this guy, easily my favorite coral I own now lol. Keep up the good work. I'll be back for more! Best prices too.

Nice collection. I’d have something similar if I didn’t have terrible luck with them.
This is why I’m making the site. Going to explain the research I’ve located on the species. Sadly I’ve spent so much time on it and set up my tank to only euphyllia don’t think I could run a mixed if I wanted lol.
1. Flow - more important light, needs good movement and pulsing but not direct.
(look where they sit in the ocean)
2. Light - par is 80-150 in the ocean
3. The color they receive at these depths is not a full spectrum. They normally sit before the rock
4. Feeding - want to tick off a euphyllia, direct feed it. Pay attention to it at night, if polyps are out then it’s hungry. (I use pods and phyto more than coral feed specifically)
5. Dip measure and protocol post transport
6. Fish inside (think I watched my filefish pick at one of mine. Now will catch this fish and he will be gone)
6. Symbiotic relationship. Look at a orangutan crab.

ApprecIate it. I was big into sps and have been transitioning into torches and honestly they are a lot more forgiving. I will say I’ve had the best luck with moderate flow and lower nutrients (Po4) . I’ve also made a point to keep any new torch under low par for 6-8 weeks once I introduce it to my system and then slowly increase light. Low par and low nutrients (Po4 mainly) seems to really help with membrane growth

Low par foresure. in the ocean they aren’t cooked and lower in the reef.

On the flow I’m not sold on that part. I run 13k gph in my display and 10x via sump. It’s a 240 display and 60 sump. The more flow I add the happier it gets. It needs non direct flow from experience. granted in the ocean they get constant flow just not on the polyp.

If you do a chemiclean or cipro in the tank you will help the growth.

my next experiment isn spawning in tank with assistance from duplication of natural environment along with prohormones. I know sounds crazy but I like to see what happens.

Just wanted to drop a quick note on the ultra jester recently purchased from Ryan. Have to say Ryan is a great seller. I had a bunch of questions, he responds timely and with a lot of information and plenty of pictures and videos. The packaging was the best I’ve received since ordering coral on line. The torch itself is a nice large polyp and opened almost immediately. Could not be happier with purchase. Will be buying more torches from Ryan for sure.
