I know how you feel. I have a particular bug for the Anampses & Macropharyngodon species. I recently purchased a femininus wrasse (eating well) and it didn't even last a night. I don't even know how it died. Went back, bought another one (this one is active but refuses to eat anything but PE Mysis).
Me too.....I am done with the Anampses Wrasses for a while...I have 4 leopards already....been with me a long time....you always wonder how the fish can eat at the LFS....you get him home...acclimate him....he does well in your tank... eatting etc...then dies all of a sudden!!!! Passed away while I was at work today.. I am done with fairy wrasses for now. If I ever switch over to a mesh top I will probably shoot for another one but I am pretty happy with my stocking at the moment so I will let everything be. Losing animals is the worst feeling. Swim in peace little dude.
Oh man.... sorry about that....do you know what happened?

Don’t know what happened unfortunately, but my guess is the smack into the lid finally did him in. He was still eating earlier that day before I left for work, although would only try to move when there was food present. I could see him getting worse as the days went on and I guess yesterday was finally the end.

I think we both have bad luck!
