My Yuma detached from its frag plug

I was cutting my frag plug and the Yuma let go of the rock. How can I get him to detach without dying?

I don't think it will die. Put some other rocks/frag plugs/pieces in its little cup and it will re-attach.

Just what your doing, it will attach sooner or later. A rubber band works too. Just don't try to glue it.

How long does it usually take an hour, a day?

Could be a couple hours, could be a couple days. Corals are live animals, it will do what it wants to.
