The Mystery Wrasse is a stunning and enigmatic addition to marine aquariums, instantly catching the eye with its vibrant, jewel-toned coloration and sleek, torpedo-shaped body. Known for its active, mid-to-upper water swimming habits, this wrasse is both a peaceful and energetic reef dweller, thriving in tanks with plenty of rock and open swimming space. Hardy for a wrasse, it adapts well to a varied diet of frozen Gamma meaty foods such as mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and finely chopped seafood, while its playful personality adds constant movement and interest to the aquarium. Perfect for reef enthusiasts seeking a colorful, lively, and relatively reef-safe centerpiece, the Mystery Wrasse truly lives up to its name, turning heads wherever it swims.

I've always had one in my tank. I find that the species from the Marshall islands have a better temperament with more vibrant colors. However be very cautious if you have any type of shrimp in the tank, or make sure that the wrasse is well fed to keep them out of danger. Mine decimated my coral banded, pistol, and peppermint shrimp.
