Purchased a 14g Oceanic Bicube and stand from a fellow reefer and cannot wait to set it up and get cycling.

Using Arag-alive in Hawaiian Black along with my Biocube skimmer I already have and bought a Maxi-jet 900 since it was missing the stock pump.

Got my rockscape glued togther.

Made a media rack for chamber 2.

Using the stock lights for now but will be upgrading to the LED retrofit kit.
Going to replace the 10K bulb with a 50/50 bulb. Should be arriving today.
Waiting on a replacment return elbow cause I cannot seem to get the correct fit with tubing over the return outlet.
Pretty excited about this little tank!

Today I used some elbow grease and hot water to get the tubing on the return (elbow missing).
Got the pump hooked up and filter floss in the top of chamber 2.
Ordered a received a 50/50 bulb off amazon.com to replace the 10k. Installed that today. The difference is slight but noticeable.

I did notice on the 50/50 bulb that the actinic is more purple than the blue of the all actinic bulb. Is that something that is associated with a new bulb or just the way it is?

Got the sand in and added approximately 10g of saltwater (borrowed some from the sump on the 29g), started up the pump and now.....we cycle. Crossing fingers the tubing stays on.

It is worth noting that even though the display was full, chamber 2 wasn't and there was a noticeable gurgle. I added more water to the chamber and no more gurgle.
