Hello everyone. I am a michigan reef nut. My reef turned two years old this month. It is supposed to be a mixed 120 reef but I am having issues with sps corals. I will look through my pics over the next few days to put together some shots.

Here is the tank from last year:

Wow i have been horrible about this thread. Well i managed to hurt myself pretty bad and had to go through a lot of physical therapy. During this period the tank did not get the care it needed. Some kind of disease, BJS, from the look of it took out many of my sps and lps. It was so frustrating to watch and not be able to do anything. I am now back in the game and will be waiting a few more months to replace the lost corals to be safe. I am going to be very busy for a month but then I will get this thread going I promise!

Glad your getting better. Been there, done that.
Are you going to get back into sps, or going to stay softies?

I am definitely going to get back into sps and lps. Just want to be sure that whatever killed the others is gone

When I get home I will upload a photo of one of the sick corals so maybe someone can give me an idea if there is anything more to do. It seems any hard corals I placed in the area got the same sickness and rapidly died. So at this point I am just waiting it out. It wasn't just new corals but old corals from the other side of the tank. If I moved them to the area where the old corals died they too became infected. It has been almost a year since this started and I still can't have hard corals on that lower section.
