Ok, so I have a IM Nuvo 10g aquarium. As of now, I am defeating an outbreak of green hair algae with my newly installed refugium (algae vs algae). Once all of the green hair algae is gone, I am planning on adding the last fish to this build. (Yes, the system can support a third fish, as it has a ton of live rock and bio media, working with an oversized skimmer and an efficient refugium.) As of now I have two small clowns. What are some fish that are interesting, nano sized, and reef safe?

If you’re willing to do the work to feed it, a ruby red dragonet would be great! Otherwise, most blennies/gobies would give you what you’re looking for. IMO a (or a few) sexy shrimp add a lot of life and fun to a nano tank. I currently have one in my 20 gal and am waiting on an LFS order for 4 more. They’re super cool to watch and will crawl on your hand! The twerking thing is really cool to watch. A fire shrimp may also be interesting, but may get a little big for your tank. I know you asked for fish, but most fish with a lot of personality belong in a bigger tank IMO, an invert would probably be a lot happier.

Thanks! I was actually considering getting one of those biota captive bred dragonets. I am thinking of starting another slightly larger build in the next few years, so if it gets too large I could house the dragonet there.
