nano Pumps back up battery compatibility

Hey guys, looking for a new pump for my red sea max nano G2. I want something that I can hook up to a back up battery in the event of a power outage.

Im also looking for any other tips to help keep my tank safe when I’m away and build redundancy. Currently running an apex and red-sea ato with temp probed and leak sensor.

I would look into an Ecoflow battery back up. You can plug your return pump and other things into this and keep your tank running for a couple of days during a power outage.

Power outages seem to be the thing that catch folks by surprise.

Having the Apex should help with alerting you to something wrong. Is your heater controlled directly by the Apex? Some folks will plug in an inkbird or other heater controller into the Apex energy bar as a redundant feature.

Ill take a look, I would love a back up powered return pump that fits in an AIO tank. It would make a huge improvement.

This may sound crazy, but I currently run a topfin heater with a build in controller, on my apex for redundancy. Iv always had luck with them ever since I was a kid.

I’m not aware of any back up powered return pumps for AIOs. I know ecotech has a battery back up, but never really looked into it…you could get an ecoflow for what they charge.

Then instead of plugging it in a wall, you plug it in a LiFePO4 battery station that has built in UPS. The station then plugs in the wall

It will auto switch to battery in an outage, and switch back to ac when power is restored. And it will recharge itself.

My pico tank can run over 100 hours in an outage. My 75g reef return pump can run 50+ hours.

Right now I run the stock red sea one, and run it through my apex. Currently my apex is using 204 watts 1 amp and 113volts running the whole system. Any options to just run the whole unit? Dont have a set budget yet but under 500$ would be ideal. If I had something that ran for 12 hours that would give me time to find a generator or something. But 24 hours would be ideal of course.
