Thanks for the reply [emoji1303]. How do you like your aqua medic?

Overall very good. The only issue I have with these reactors is cleaning the base plate. It's there to stop most media fines heading back in to aquarium when pump is off. However it cannot be disassembled so it's hard to clean it fully.
Other reactors in same.style are the same.

Otherwise yes works well and is nice and compact.

Just changed media over this morning. Can just see reactor housing in second shot which the media tube docks with.

Obviously using mine for carbon etc but universal so works with bio pellets.

Would be a good idea to put the purigen in a bag, purigen can be recharged and washed and it'll be hard to separate it from the carbon with it being in a small baggy

Oh totally. Yes that would work really well and good advice.

I only don't do it that way as i only use such a small amount (tea spoon) and to be fair with limited time i just ditch it and replace.

Thanks for everyone's help! Another question I just thought of is that I recently sold my reefer 250 that had 50 pounds of real reef rock in it that I kept. I took it straight from the tank and placed it into a Rubbermaid tub and covered it and left it for about five months thinking it will just dry up

The question I have is can I use this rock again? Should I rinse it some how?

Wouldn't hurt to rinse it
