I’ve been out of the hobby for over a year and have sold most of my equipment. I went back to school in north east Arkansas so I have been extremely busy. I think I am a point where I can start a small tank. I’m thinking something super simple- maybe 10-15 gallons, 1 light (might even do T5 since I have one already and they grow corals), no actual controller, and no doser of possible. My little town that I moved to actually has a reef store with some decent old school acros and other sps, so it’s super tempting to do an acro tank, but I think I want to do either:
-Decorative Macro algae with maybe xenias
-bubble tip anemone only
-rock flower only
-Goni only
-or a mix of gonis, zoas, and rock flower
Has anyone kept gonis or rock flowers in such a small tank? I’m thinking I would need a skimmer if I have anemones. I would consider torches or maybe some easy sps, but I want this super low maintenance. I’ve been in the hobby since 2012 and have kept a number of tanks including mixed reefs and acros. I just don’t want to become neglectful if school gets too crazy.
