Nascar fans?

How many Nascar car fans do we have out there and who's your driver? I am a big fan of racing and will watch any kind of racing I can find, but Nascar is my favorite.

I was a Nascar fan back when it wasn't a spec race. When racing was actually racing and not the sponsor deciding on who wins. I was a fan in the 80's and 90's.

Then it was Dale Earnhardt, from 1983 onward.

Yep, I don't miss a race. I was a 42 fan and a 9 fan....ha so now just Chase.

It has been awhile since I have seen a race. It almost has gotten silly with the mid race yellow, the playoff racing. Just let the guys turn right for 500 miles and see who is the best.

I remember watching Lake Speed flip down the back stretch at Daytona, I remember watching Benny Parsons flip thru the tri-oval at Daytona. I remember watching Bobby Allison race.

I watched for many years throughout the 70s, 80s and 90s. Stopped watching in the 2000s when my best friend died. I was a big Mark Martin fan and loved the Jarrets, Labonte brothers, Sterling Marlin. Drivers respected each other more then.

Used to be a fan. I feel the sport and all sports have gone down hill, therefore I no longer watch any sports. Obviously just my opinion, nothing more.

Yeah - it was different back then. Then again everything was. Martin was a class act. Still is.

Back then it was IMSA and Nascar. I also loved to watch Robby Gordon driving in IMSA - lad is an amazing driver.

Lots of good racing. Dirt does kick butt. I'm good with anything fast and competitive.

I think the problem with most sports are they are too good. A lot of off season training, better taking care of themselves, and rules to protect the players, etc. Racing is the same, cars are too good, lots of power, the rules box them in to were they all run nearly same lap times. Gone are the days of drinking 60 beers on the cross country trip for the next baseball game or two drivers right after a crash

Gosh, now I do feel old!!! I remember watching IMSA in Miami. I remember watching Micheal Andretti at Indianapolis, with a ford engine, on lap 190, thinking he was going to win, break a timing belt, man I am old, LOL!!!

Martin was probably the best driver to never win a championship and the ultimate class act, Ken Schrad Schrader aswell. Shrader is the definition of a racer. If a cardboard box had wheels on it, Shrader would race it

Schrader - that guy didn't he get a finger tip cut off and he just bandaged it and went racing? I think working on the car.

If Jeff Gordon didn't come along when he did I think Martin would have a couple under his belt. That 24 was just too dang good at the time. Seemed like no-one could tune a car like Evernham and Gordon drove like a madman at the end of every race.

Gordon and Evernham were definetly the right pair at the right time. I remember watching an interview with Rusty Wallace (used to be my favorite driver) and he said that him and Earnhardt got together before a race and decided that they didn't care what happened to their cars, they were just going to go out there and make sure Gordon didn't win, but they couldn't catch him. Lol

I remember Sterling Marlin pulling his fender out during a red flag at the Daytona 500. He said it was ok because he saw Earnhardt do it one time.

Terry Labonte pulling into victory lane at Bristol with the front end smashed in, pouring fluids all over the place. good stuff.

I remeber that race and Sterling getting out. Won't see that anymore.
