We recently upgraded from a 75 gallon tank to a 210 gallon tank. Dimensions are 72x24x29. We are slowly building up a fish want list once it cycles and curious if a Naso Tang is reasonable to put in the tank? Or would it outgrow the tank? Any other suggestions on fish? There will eventually be coral in the tank so no non reef compatible fish please.
Thank you.

here’s a picture of the tank. It’s used so we’re in the middle of deep cleaning it and replumbing everything.

210 would be ideal although larger, even more so

Which Naso? Assuming blonde or lipstick, the 6x2 is borderline. I would recommend 8 feet for a forever home.

If we get one it would ideally be a lipstick naso. We’re not 100% sold on any particular fish just yet so if a naso shouldn’t go in the tank, we can certainly explore other fish options.

I have a blonde naso in a 625g tank. It is about 7’ 8”” inches long and I don’t think its long enough. They grow rather fast and love to swim around. The gallon capacity is not as important as length. The longer the better. In my opinion, 6’ w/b too short for the long term. So many other beautiful tangs that would do fine including yellow, purple, Gem, and others….

I just added a Blonde Naso tang to my 225. I purchased a small one, but eventually I feel I will have to rehome it as they grow large. :)
