A lot of rock dosen't have to mean a wall, you could call it a ragged wall with lots of high, lows and holes. Some poor wall hey. 😆
Some walls are not necessarily to keep things in or out!

Unlike many who go with the "what we like" trend . My reefscape is designed with most of the fish I keep in mind. What kind of environment they would have come from and how they may want to live as on the reef. That would be minus predators of course.

Often that means areas with quite compact reefscapes but with bolt holes and hiding places giving them a sense of security and most importantly limiting stress. As animal lovers I believe we have a duty to provide the best we can for our animals. They rely entirely on us, they have no say in the matter. Looking pretty isn't a consideration here. Having said that visitors often comment on how wonderful, beautiful or amazing my aquarium looks.

Sure, we can't mimic that large reef ou there in the ocean ir sea. However, we can build a structure that closely resemble that little area most of my fish relate to and come from. Fish that stay close to that area on the reef gives them the above.

When provided for and fed correctly fish will behave in a more natural way in our aquariums. That includes providing the correct foods and water quality. When provided with the above they will behave very similar to the way they would on the reef.Your fish will often spawn in your aquarium as many of my fish do and live long lives.

I just try my best to make all my fish feel content and give them a sense of belonging. How do we know that? Well you know we can measure that via the above.
