Hi ,

My new tank receives a couple of hours of sunlight . It does contribute to algae growth in the glass but I allow it because thought it's beneficial to the acroporas to receive sunlight .
However wanted to know your thoughts .
Ofcourse 6 hours of artificial light is received using 2 250 radium bulbs .
Question is is it good or bad for acros to receive natural sunlight ?

Regards,
Abhishek

Other than contributing to algae growth I do not see a significant down side. Since you're running two 250 watt Radiums a little nature sunlight a day probably has very little impact.

Good trouble: Have mushrooms ever become pests in your aquarium?
