I got a Gem Tang at a LFS. the gem tang was contained inside a plastic storage container possibly to avoid aggression against other gem tang. When i got it home, it swims like it doesnt know how to avoid sand bed, macro algae etc. always bumping into things. it hasnt been eating since I got it, three days now. Is there anything wrong with it? im guessing getting locked up in the container really messed with its head. any advice is greatly appreciated. thanks

How much do you trust this LFS? Fish can get retinal blindness from overmedication or mismedication. If it exhibited this at the fish store, it was possibly in the box to mask the blind behaviors. I have seen it (unfortunately) in tangs that have been overdosed with chloroquine phosphate and/or copper. Just swim aimlessly, bumping into things, even though theres not a scale out of place. Cant find food to eat, and ultimately perish. It would be worth havng a discussion with the LFS about.
