Doesnt seem dead to me, mine look like that sometimes too. Maybe try increasing light? Mine looks like that when it gets shaded by my leather coral too much
I just got the frag from a friend of mine and he didn’t know what it was either so I’m betting on it being healthy.

Maybe it needs a bit of time to get used to your tank, if its still new. Just make sure it gets enough light and moderate flow, and check your nitrates and phosphates to make sure they are not 0. when i got 0 they didnt like it

Make sure your parameters are in order, the coral is getting decent flow, and you have adequate lighting in your tank. How old is your tank?

I’ve bought a few of those from petco.
15 bucks a frag and they do great.
Keep a low but constant flow, I feed them aquaforest liquid everyday.
They seem to grow pretty fast and when they open, they are gorgeous!

Could this be an asterospicularia? A less common softy. I had one in a previous system and it melted - I believe because my nutrients were too low.

DO YOU THINK TECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCEMENTS ARE MORE HELPFUL OR HURTFUL TO REEFING?
