Need help knowing what to get!

Working on getting my cart ready for Drilling my tank and setting up piping. Ive got what I believe is just a standard 75g.

And I'm wondering if i need 1/2 inch or 3/4 of this https://www.bulkreefsupply.com/loc-line-modular-hose-segments.html. What do you use to connect to these soft tubing I assume? or can you connect straight to PVC. Do you need the lockline pliers? And then I guess I'm wondering what the difference is in the nozzles that you attach to these.?

No, the lockline segments snap into fitting that is threaded. Single or teed. The threaded end then would be threaded to a threaded pvc bushing that is glued to your PVC pipe.

So i was thinking 2 nozzles on each side of the aquarium and my overflow in the center should i just use 2 nozzles 1 on each side or should i do 2 on each side? for a total of 4? how big of a decision is all this?

It depends a little on your return pumps flow into the DT. I would imagine with a 75, 3/4 would work well.

and then the PVC pipe that runs down to the return pump what do you think? that should be everything as far as return plumbing goes

2, 3/4" returns is plenty. Where is up to you and where your overflows will be, since your drilling. It's best to place the returns away from the overflow/s.

Don't want filtered water going back down into the sump after it's been filtered. At least that's my opinion.

All looks good. You will need a PVC tee, 4, 45° elbows and 2, slip to female threaded pvc adapters from the hardware store as well.

Tee for splitting the return line.

45° elbows to make the turn upwards. (Better than a 90° elbow, reduces head loss)

Slip to female threaded adapters to connect the PVC pipe to the lockline pieces.

Oh and 2, 90° elbows to make the turn over the tank. Then the slip to female thread adapters would attach to that PVC pipe and the 90° elbows.

I think im lost now :P, why would i need 90 elbows to go over the tank if im drilling? is there a tread of someone whos written out a tutorial for this somewhere

The bulkhead. You'll still need those 90° to turn into the bulkhead.
