So frustrated...

Need some help setting up programing in the trident apex fusion..and or the doser
I want my Alk doser to turn off and not dose when the Alk is above 7.25. I have the following programing in place on the advanced tab for the doser. the Apex accepts the language but is NOT turning off the doser . My Alk this AM is 7.71 per the trident and it was still dosing. My guess is the Trident overrides the settings advance tab on the doser I am using to dose ALK.?

If Alkx19 > 7.25 Then OFF
If PHTK > 8.40 Then OFF

p.s I did post this in the equipment thread but did not get any responses.

so.. the goal here is
1. DOSER INTERVAL SETTING PER THE TRIDENT TESTING. set up the trident to ALLOW dose alk to maintain around 7.2 using two part
2. DOSER SETTING. fail safe set up in doser settings -ADVANCE TAB- in case something goes wrong that the doser turns off once Alk is above a a set point.. I am making that new point lets say 7.4.

so trident interval summary is

Amount to dose:200 mL
Time allotted:22 hr, 59 min
Control value:7.2 dKH
Control range:0.4 dKH
Control limit:±35%

and the Advance Settings in Doser is

If PHTK > 8.40 Then OFF
If Alkx19 > 7.40 Then OFF

Will this then cause doser to actually go to off position when above 7.4

Thanks

Maybe this will help
...Also consider getting a DOS. I did and am very happy with way it regulates how alkalinity and calcium are controlled. Much better and simpler than using a third-party doser.

Looks like all of these need a trident?

Pretty sure trident controled dosing does not work that way if it reads higher readings it doesn’t shut off completely it falls back to the base amount set in the dos schedule

Correct. It is a safety feature. If the Trident reading is outside the range of controlled dosing, the DOS does not stop dosing; instead it falls back to dosing the base amount configured in that DOS schedule. As you pointed out.

The link you provided by @cilyjr get the job done and is the proper way in this case. Or so I believe.

Correct. But they have one.

The OP wants to run of, or off, dosing based on a Trident test result. The link provided by @cilyjr will do that. Using the task for Trident assisted / controlled dosing is the wrong tool to use in this case.

WOW.. just checked out that link.. some code work there.. Thank you .. after reviewing all this i see that the Trident when out of range falls back to that min dose based on the settings used for the interval . If your ML for the daily dose is high.. then the Min -fall back might be higher than needed and thus Alk continues to climb. Took some time to wrap my head around it.. thank you again all...

ok.. mine I have set now... Just had to tweak some numbers.. the Trident controls the dosing with suggested parameters.. the DOS Settings in the advance tab I simply sue to stop the DOS if over lets say 7.50. If trident is running the DOS parameters the dashboard shows "TBL" if it is "OFF" because of the advanced tab settings...it shows "OFF". Thank you all for your help
