With no lid, definitely avoid diamond gobies. They are notorious jumpers. Mine got out *with* a lid. Maybe a Bengai cardinal or a Royal Gramma. My 6 line wrasse is my most entertaining fish to watch, and the clowns should be able to hold their own with him.

I want fish that not everyone has so I thought maybe a fourline. I also plan on doing a pair of cherub angelfish

All fish can jump (including clowns). So any notion of jumpers vs non jumpers is a myth. A mesh top is easy to make and small piece of mind as compared to coming home to a dead fish on your floor.

Unless that is a mated pair they will kill each other. IMHO 3 foot long MINIMUM for a pygmy and definitely only one. Oh and forget a Wrasse of any kind with no lid on your tank.
