This was at my LFS and labeled a short tail tang. But when I go to find info about it like on LiveAquaria, I seem to get other types and not this one with this color. Anyone have links they can share so I can do my research? Appreciate any input, links, or advice.

Off the top of my head, I believe the minimum is 30 or 40 gallon. They can be semi- aggressive towards other dwarf angels. My little one holds his own against a 3.5in Tomini Tang. He battled a 3in juvenile emperor angel when introduced Good model citizen overall. I have seen him nip at my zoas couple times.

Just adding to what was already said here. There are African and Caribbean flamebacks. African tend to be more orange with a clear caudal fin where as Caribbean tend to be more yellow with a yellow caudal fin. I wouldn't go to that lfs for advice, maybe you asked a new hire or part time employee 🤷‍♂️

Thanks! This is a pretty good LFS and I agree, she is new to the shop and I usually get my answers from two of the other very knowledgable employees. They wern’t working today and I was curious to what this fish really is.

Live aquaria losts minimum tank size at 55 gallon. They also have a compatability chart there and care instructions. Not a bad site if you want a quick reference for fish info
