I want to buy an ATI 6 bulb fixture and attach Reefbrite actinic blues on each side. What is a good color combination of 6 T5 bulbs for a SPS tank that will go with the 2 Reefbrites? I'm looking for about 20K look.

I'm not sure if this will totally answer the mail, but maybe it's helpful.

I have a 4 bulb t5ho unit and a single tech reefbrite strip. bulbs are p+, b+, c+, b+

I feel like it's about 18k when I just have on the c+, b+ and reefbrite

i have..

4 blue+
1 aquablue special
1 purple+

1 36in reefbrite xho.

I have:

Reefbrite XHO Blue
Blue+
Blue+
Coral+
Actinic
Blue+
Actinic
Purple+
Reefbrite XHO Blue

With this combo it's more of a 14-16k look. It's somewhat blue but not super blue by any means, especially compared to many of the LED tanks out there these days. I also want the 20k+ look so I plan on swapping out the Actinics for more Blue+ since they get so washed out. That should help some. I might even remove the coral+ since it's pretty white. This should give you an idea of what to expect with bulb combos and the Reefbrites. If you want the 20k look you could use one "white" bulb such as Purple+ then an Actinic, then the rest Blue+. I think if you plug in two "white" bulbs then you'll lose your 20k look, even with the Reefbrites.

Hope this helps!

I had a 7 bulb T-5 fixture with Blue Reefbrites and I liked this color combo.

2x ATI Purple + but I actually liked 2x KZ Fiji Purple better
3x ATI Blue+
2x ATI Aquablue Special

Here is a pic the color combo. I got great color and great growth but as stated above I did like it better when I had 2x KZ Fiji Purple on it.
