Need help with ID

Something is growing on the base of my torch and rock it's on. Anybody have an idea, looks shell like,

Notice they closed up when the flash went off or if there is any kind of disturbance like a knock on the stand.

Thank you! I was wondering how I have never noticed this on something that's been in my tank for months. Then later I noticed they open and close with noise which happens often when I'm around the tank.
