Need Help with Lagoon 25

I have IM Lagoon 25.

Got package lite from TBS. Have 2 good big pieces of base rock and few smaller. Premium came in and is mostly rubble. Roughly size of tennisball.

Was going well but with premium not sure where to go to make it work.

Here is what I got now and know not ideal.

Can move the gyre up or down.

Greetings. I see you are trying for at least two 'caves'. I have found that fish will actually use 'holes' that they can fully pass completely through more-- so that would be my suggestion.

I would start by varying the height across the structure...maybe remove the large rock three over and place it on top on the left? I realize you don't have a lot of height to work with (and have to worry about flow) but that would make it more interesting IMO. You could possibly even break that rock up to reduce its' bulk.

Well, I got ton of rubble and 2 pieces to make overhangs/swimthroughs with. That setup leaves about 2-3 inches around the tank

Hi there! I just received my order as well for the lite package, and felt I had too much rock. However, I would always rather have too much than too little. I have a sump so I could put some smaller rocks in there, but play around with it. If you have a chamber in the AIO you aren’t using, throw some of the rock you might not want/need in there. It’s great bio filtration, but sometimes ya just need to move it around a bit.

What’s your end goal? Are you looking for two stacked islands varying in height? A main “wall” like you have for more surface area for corals etc? Or trying to do something unique with overhangs and caves etc? It can be difficult with TBS rock sometimes as it’s hard to play around with it compared to dry rock that you can break apart and set on cardboard and play around with the scape.
