Need help with my RODI unit

I Can't figure out which way to turn the blue knob to make the water go through the DI resin. And which way to turn to flush the RO membrane. I included. Pictures any help would be appreciated

When it is closed it is not bypassing your flow restrictor on the waste line open it is bypassing the restrictor and flushing the membrane.
Where do you see the flow restrictor? It looks like the valve is just tied into between the two TEE's? Open or closed doesn't look like it does anything?

The flow restrictor is in the yellow tubing right after the blue tube on the left side. So when you close the blue tubing it is forced thru the yellow where the restrictor is located. Of course I'm assuming there is an in-tube restrictor.

I personally would just leave it closed. I have yet to find any evidence that flushing the membrane does anything to make it worthwhile. Now by passing the DI when you first start making water does prolong the DI but it is up to you if it is worth it. I'm lazy and don't worry about it. My DI lasts me close to a year so adding a month or 2 to the DI vs the time I waste is just not worth it to me. Plus my memory is bad and I get distracted so I can see me walking away from it while it is flushing and then not remember for a couple of hours.

It's confusing at first, but think of it this way: When it looks like it is 'blocking' the flow of the water, it's actually making the RODI water properly.

Of course I'm assuming there is an in-tube restrictor.
The OP should probably actually confirm that it is there by pulling the tube off the quick disconnect and checking. Especially if this is a 2nd hand unit and the OP is not the original owner as Marine depot has been out of business for several years now.
