It'll spread as time goes on and it will get over your coral and kill them. Obviously it's not something that you can't get rid of. It's fairly simple to get rid of just a 72 hour process

What is your No3's and Po4's Chem Clean is a shot term solution to a long term issue. Once I got my nitrates and phosphates under control along with a good cleaning crew the issue is now gone.

However if using treated tap water which I've found to be one of the biggest causes to cyano then it's basically useless. I dealt with cyano for 2 and a half years without using RO water but once I got a system and started using RO water I saw a big difference.
i would dose 1ml of h202 for every 10gal every 8 hrs or it might be 12 hrs in a high flow area for 14 days itll get rid of the cyano and wont be a hurtful as chemiclean actually h202 is somewhat good for the tank itll help keep the water clean i could be wrong so lets call in the expert ! @twilliard on this one he can give you the exacts

That is either spirulina or cylindrospermum
H2o2 will work against cylindrospermum but not spirulina
If it is just that one spot then I would remove that area being cautions not to disturb it as it will spread.

no its fine. it happens. elevated No and Po will make it show up. Good cleaning and water changes will help keep the numbers down.
it wont kill stuff, nothings gonna die. Ive had tanks go real bad, and the world did not end.
You can solve it by adding a refugium and or good nutrient export method .
Consider a Refugium, or depending on your filtration system, a little gfo or chem filtration. Be careful with those as its easy to use too much.
Im a big refugium proponent.
from time to time a certain foods will very quickly spur growth, For me thats marine snow.

What are directions for H2o2 method?
First do a manual removal by siphon trying not to stir up of what you can. Then add 1ml per 10gal every 12 hrs of the 3% Otc hydrogen peroxide. Add in a high flow area so as to not create concentrated area or "clouding" (same appearance of mixing fresh and salt water). When I did mine, I did while lights off as from what I read lighting causes the h202 to break down quicker than if it were in dark. Can't recall why or where I read that tidbit but I just went with it and was successful. Big shout out to @twillard for the research on this topic that gave me the confidence to pour a foreign chemical into my tank I never would have thought about before.

Being a bacteria I can see why it works but I too would never have thought about doing that with H2O2...... My tank was originals about 10 months old was a 30 tall that I converted to a 45 jbj. Been that way for a few months now.
