I have a few scarlet hermit crabs. All of them have molted once that I am sure of. Were can I get replacement shells for them. The crabs are a little over an inch in length. The LFS shells are always way to big. Thanks all

Amazon has shells. My scarlet has molted several times. According to what I have read and experienced, they don’t change shells as often as others like blue leg. They are also super picky about the shape of the opening. You want to try to match the same shape at what it is currently in. I was fortunate enough to just raid my mother’s shell collection which had thousands of shells. Just put 7 new shells in the tank and the scarlet has yet to show interest as far as I know.
GL :)

I'm not sure how close you are to the bay but I've had success with a variety of shells picked up off the beach. As long as they're in good condition I'll boil them in seawater for 20 minutes and then drop a couple in the tank that appear slightly larger than the crabs are currently using.
I've not found any Conch shells that my Halloween Hermits seem to prefer but the others aren't fussy.
