Need some help

I've been getting this algae like stuff that gets really long and it attaches to the eggcrate stuff very easy. I just put new egg crate in thinking my old was the problem but this stuff like stretches far what is it and how can I stop it from spreading phosphate are. 03 and I only get this in the frag tank not my display

I dont thinks its red slime casue ive had that in my display and it doesnt get stringy like this,it like throws out string like 4 inches long
and it seems like it only attaches to that dang eggcrate stuff

The frag tank is under led and my display is under t5 don't know if that matters though

It looks like cyano to me. How new is the egg crate?

I don't know for sure, but I got bryopsis in my tank and it came after adding egg crate. If it is fern like, start treating immediately with Kent m magnesium. You can check my threads out for details. I only bring this up because I wonder if that's how I got it.

Nonot like ferns just a long stringy stuff.really thin sucks right up with a hose
