The only thing I can think of that was different was that I had changed the flow on my Maxspect Gyre and when I saw the coral I changed it back and I am hoping that It was just that mistake I made but I'm new to the hobby

Typical Hydnophora defensive response, those mesenterial filaments have the ability to kill surrounding corals. Mesenterial filaments are also used as a digestive mechanism. These filaments have the ability to reach corals over 5 inches away based on the flow.

Yep, be careful what you place near it. They can kill other corals quickly.

It seems to be getting better now that I changed the Gyre flow But I really don't understand what you said

Mesenterial filaments are sweeper tentacles that come out of the coral for defense. They touch other coral to kill them.
