Neptune Apex Extension Cables

So who out there as cut and extended the 24v and 1Line cables for the Neptune Apex accessories? I just looked and they want $20 for each extension cable... I would spend over $100 dollars just for extension cables. At this point I am guessing I will just cut and splice in the distance I need and wanted to know who else had the same thought?

As far as the Aquabus cables, I have read those are just plain usb and I will amazon those if needed.

I haven't cut and spliced any but I did make my own. I forget where I got the connectors but they are called mini molex connectors and you can get the 2pin and for pin both male and female so you can make your own extensions if you don't want to cut the factory cables.

I extended the wire for the pmup by about 5 feet. I just cut the wire closer to the Apex input than the pump so the slice doesn't get anywhere near water. It's been a while so I can't say for certain what gauge wire I used but it was either one of these. You should be able to tell when you cut the original cord.
