ORP is use to measure the cleanliness of the water in your aquarium. The good number to shoot for is 290-320. Mines stay around 300.
I use it to track when I need to do a water change Cuz if the number is getting low to like 260 then I know too much wastes in my water column so water change is needed.
Other people use ORP for conjunction with their Ozone system, I also see other people use it to measure the water evaporation but for me I purely use it to know the cleanliness of my water.
Hope this little information helps.
Not sure if it helps the OP or not, but it helped me! Gonna get a ORP now.
Glad you found it useful sir
Just a thought...to me the lab grade last a lot longer and also you don't need to re-calibrate after 2-3 months of usage. I've had the standard probe and it's getting mis-read after a month or so.
So just fyi.
