Can anyone tell me what is going on with my DOS? It is only programed to dose 2ml of all for reef over 24 hours but yet dosed over 1000ml on its own. This is the 2nd time this has happened and I am lost on why this keeps happening.

Neptune has a forum on a different site.
To adjust additives, click the clipboard icon, select DOS Additive dosing, then you follow the wizard on this screen

Didn’t even think of that. It is not recommended to plug the DOS power in to the EB83
No what I believe he meant is if the channel for your DOS is set to on and not on auto meaning doser will just be on and not on the schedule you created.
Following along anyway

Yes that is what I meant. I know it has a set dosing amount when turned to the on position, but I don’t remember what the set amount is.

It has nothing to do with the power for the dos.

Yours must work differently than mine. I can only control the power (Off-Auto-On) for things plugged directly in to the EB832. The DOS is not plugged in to that and can only be controlled with the clipboard menu.

The tiles at the bottom of this screen shot is what I am referring to. It is where you turn the dosing heads to Off/Auto/On. It tells the head whether to not dose anything, follow the dosing table, or to continuously dose.

This is not the power for the dos, which isn’t plugged into my eb832.

Looks like you must have programmed it wrong. That you want 2ml but it does 200 every hour at the same time suggests perhaps you slipped a decimal point?
Bingo looks like you got that.

Nope I believe I have it programed correctly

Is the DOS capable of dispensing 1/10th of a ml at a time? That is a very small amount of liquid. Doesn't address the issue you're having but I don't thing there is much value in dividing up the dosage if you're only adding 2 ml. Just add it once per day and call it good.

@Abyzter did you ever figure this out? I had exactly the same problem and I'm 99% sure I was set to auto (but I freaked out and turned it off before I saw this post ...).

I programmed it like this:

The summary of both makes sense to me (Dos 416ml over 10 hours and Dose 83 ml over 2 hours):

1718903428514.png
1718903634432.png

But then when I wake up in the morning I see it has dosed 3.8L???

1718903141591.png

Also, I believe this wouldn't be due to it being left in ON position because the log says it was dosing 200 ml every 1/2 hour which I think is well below what it would do if it were just "ON", right?

On your DOS schedule screen, what does it look like?

For example here is my channel for my carbon dosing:

It shows start time, end time, and how much to dose spread out over that time period.

OK, now I'm suspicious. I ran a test where I just turned one side of the DOS pump "ON" (not auto), and it actually *does* dose at 200ml every 30 minutes....

So now I strongly suspect I did just have it "ON" and not "Auto"

I think you might be missing out on some functionality of your apex… are you aware you can add and customize your dashboard sliders and icons? You can certainly control the DOS from your dashboard regardless of it being plugged into the EB832.

On fusion, there are tips and pointers in chapter 3-4-5-6

Are you letting your Trident measurements control your Dos amounts? I think if you have the Trident controlled dosing enabled, it could be dangerous if it's not dialed in 100% correctly. But even still, I'm thinking that is way more dosing than the Trident could or would effect.... Just a thought I guess...

No, I just had it set to a 500ml per night amount. I know have it automatically stop if the PH rises above 8.2 (duh, should have done that first). I really do think this was me just leaving it ON instead of Auto
