I would never call anything perfect, but my second hand apex has been in use for a year and a half with no issues. I think it was originally purchased in 2016.

I’ve had a few issues, partly because I’ve bought way too many modules. Neptune forum is an excellent resource (part of the reason I bought apex) and when that ‘fails’, customer support has not.

With as many people as I‘ve read complain about APEX I’m honestly impressed at how few people have commented on here. Wondering if that’s a good sign.

Regardless the product you will always find people who complain about it. User reviews do not persuade me too terribly much for this reason. With that said Neptune apex is pretty much the standard. There are tons of people who rave about them. Yes some people may not like the salinity probe, or a particular module, but in general I think most people like the system over all. Which is why they are the most popular controller. Unfortunately people speak up more when they do not like something then when they do. So you may see hundreds of post of people complaining about it, but there's probably thousands of people quietly pleased with them.
