duh its a pump but is the "dryside" magnet submersible too?

my tank has a coast to coast full height overflow and i want to mount the pump on my back wall which would require the dryside to be wet.

any issues?

It’s just a coated magnet so should be a non issue. Careful of the thickness though, I’m running on 1/2” and isn’t the greatest hold. Works, just not rock solid like an MP.

Thanks. Yea...MPs are not waterproof at all on the dry side.

My tank is 15mm 1/2” I think. But the back wall overflow is just thin acrylic.

If its just a magnet, and its going in the over flow, then just cheat. Get a ziploc sandwich bag close to the size of the dry magnet, put it inside the bag, seal it up and BAM! waterproof magnet. Ive used this on my Tunze pumps on my overflows for years.

That would definitely be a light show
I tried it on an old MP10.I have a video of it somewhere. I opened it up after and it was like a whole tank in there!
Micro bubbles, full of water, and lights!
