My tank is touching one year old. I’ve never looked into running GFO. I will activate carbon in the reactor every now and then to clear the water .

Is GFO something I can continue to not ever worry about ? I’m selling my second reactor because I never used it with GFO and it donned on me how come I never used it?

let me know your thoughts... thank you

IMO yes for sure
Although it has helped me in the past, it surely has made me feel like I have upset some natural balance within my tank as well.

GFO is OK to use as long as you understand how it works, and how fast it can work.

I like to mix it with carbon at way less then recommended dose.

Unless you have a phosphate issue, GFO isn't needed at all.

Except that I use it in a separate reactor (I use a TLF 150)
