I have the same skimmer and they do have the cup with drain tube. I contacted Deltec about it and they said I can order it from them for $95.

I'm still waiting on my GEO reactor and secondary chamber. He said he has been delayed by sourcing DC pumps. I see you went with the DC so hopefully that means he's getting them in now. I went with the CR612 and will probably be kicking myself for not going with the 618, but I figured it would do for a 100G reef.

I've been following your tanks for a while now. Really liked your CO2 scrubber set up from the last tank. Keep the updates coming!
That’s excellent! I might order one. Or I could probably DIY something.

I ordered my GEO back in March. So that’s why I was able to get the DC pump. It was sitting in the box for 9 months! You’ll probably be alright with the 612 unless you really get some mass in there. If it can’t keep up, just add a second chamber.

Thx for following! I enjoy making the videos. I don’t make any money. Will be putting another scrubber on this system eventually. :)

You’re going to be just fine.

Been running the 612 for 4 years on my 110, it all the reactor size that you will need.

The only person I’ve seen have enough coral mass to where his 618 wasn’t enough for his 75/G was @rossco

BUT…he’s nowhere near your average reefer. ;) Maybe he’ll weigh in here. Been a long time since I’ve seen an update on his new tank.

Ohh, one other person who may need to add a second chamber, but he’s nowhere near your average reefer either. Probably has more Acro’s than a LFS. :) @therman

Protected the glass moving the rock structures in. With Covid slowing all orders, production, shipping, etc. If you break a glass panel or scratch it, you may find yourself waiting for a year to get a replacement tank. Didn’t want to take any chances. Don’t ask about the water and fish in there…that’s due to a custom sump taking 11 weeks to ship. Not ideal to transfer the rock with water and fish, but we got it done.

Tank before I started the return pump. (Water level low) FYI, this is what Marco rock looks like that’s been cured for one year in a brute can with live sand, bacteria, and high flow.

Nice job and thoughts about dropping in your scape.

Looks like your flow will be able to pass through with no prob… :)

It sure looks great!!

Thx bro!

I’m hoping to have some good water movement in the tank and I was nervous about getting the Marco rock in, because I’ve had it break before. Not at the bond but the rock itself broke, but yeah…got it in no problems! Stress is finally gone!!

Here’s my design of some Light Spill Shades that are meant to look like Metal Halide reflectors for the XR15 G5’s. These are going to be white, but of course black will be an option too. If anybody likes the way these look over my tank, and more importantly if they “block the light” sufficiently, DM me and I’ll give you the contact info of the guy printing them for me, spec’s, etc. You could also modify them a bit to fit your own personal preference. Pics over the tank to follow. :)

Thanks for sharing.

There’s some great lessons to learn on that video…;Writing

Which media are you running inside your cal reactor?
I’m going to try the new reborn that we all know isn’t near the quality of the old reborn. It’s hit and miss on purity though. A lot of reports of different elements rising too much out of target ranges. It’s been different from bag to bag. We think it might be from shells or other impurities found in the media. I guess I’ll find out on the first or second ICP if I got a good bag. :)

Well I broke the new Geo Platinum DC pump by hand tightening the union because it was leaking and I had to wrap it with Teflon. It twisted right off and my Jaw hit the floor. Minor setback! Video soon.

Yes, the King Starboard is flame polished and siliconed to the bottom. If I could do it again the only thing I would do differently is put some weight on the starboard as it was curing. One side slightly cured with just a little bow. Almost unnoticeable, but I’m so ADD it bothers me. Lol. Nobody else would notice.

May I ask how thick the starboard was that you used?
